Executive Director - Tony Spring, P.E.
Mr. Spring has over 20 years of experience in the civil engineering and construction fields and has worked on projects across the country. As an engineering student at the University of Akron, he worked summers for Ruhlin Construction, Kiewitt and the Ohio Department of Transportation. Upon graduation, he worked as a designer at Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. At the Ralph Tyler Companies, Mr. Spring became a project manager and lead civil engineer for the City of Cleveland's Division of Water Plant Enhancement Program. Most recently, he is a Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager for Ribway Engineering Group working on the Northeast Ohio Sewer District's historic Capital Projects Program.
Even before embarking upon his professional career, Mr. Spring had the desire to positively impact students from K-12, participating in career days and organizing engineering youth camps. That same dedication to students crossed over into his profesional career as he became the Chairperson of the Cleveland Area National Engineer's Week Committee, whose main mission is engineering outreach to school students through classroom programs and job shadowing opportunities. In 2004, Mr. Spring received the Technical Achievement award from the Cleveland Technical Societies Council (CTSC) for "outstanding contributions to the advancement and welfare of the Engineering and Technical Professions of Northeast Ohio."
Mr. Spring is also a current member of the Cleveland Engineering Society (CES), and a former Board Member of the Mt. Pleasant NOW Development Corporation, and Cleveland Housing Network.

Mr. Brannon has 5 years experience as an electrical engineer in the area of power distribution, lighting design and communications. Mr. Brannon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University where he was an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers. Mr. Brannon is currently an electrical engineer for URS-Washington Division, one of the nations leading engineering and construction management companies. As an electrical engineer his responsibilities include the design of electrical systems for industrial facilities, including but not limited to power distribution, fire alarm, lighting and communications. Mr. Brannon strongly believes in encouraging young adults to pursue higher education in the areas of math and science where they can utilize their talents to find productive careers in the Engineering and Construction industry.

Mr. Kidd has more than 25 years of experience in the field of real estate development, working on a wide range of projects including commercial projects, residential projects, rehabilitation and new construction, asbestos removal, building demolition and more. He has developed design and construction specifications, conducted and coordinated field investigations and performed construction supervision activities.
Mr. Kidd currently is the Project Development Director at Mt. Pleasant NOW Development Corporation, one of the nation's leading Community Development Corporations where he is responsible for all phases of real estate development. Mr. Kidd strongly believes in supporting and empowering the community, especially youth. He has worked with numerous organizations to provide the Mt. Pleasant youth with job and training opportunities.
Mr. Ridgill is the Project Manager of Design and Construction for the Ohio State University and manages construction and renovation projects up to $50 million in value. He also develops budgets, estimates, and schedules for these projects. Mr. Ridgill is a graduate of the College of Engineering at the University of Akron with a bachelors of science degree in Construction Engineering Technology and holds an associates degree in Engineering Technology and Engineering Graphics from Piedmont Technical College.
Robert "Bob" Varnon has more than thirty years of experience in diverse leadership positions with construction companies including the past ten years as a safety professional. In addition to safety, Mr. Varnon is experienced in financial management, project scheduling, project management, and estimating.
Mr. Varnon has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering degreee from University of Missouri at Roll and a M.S. in Industrial Administration from Krannert Graduate School of Purdue University. Mr. Varnon is a Fellow member of the American Institute of Constructors and a Professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. Mr. Varnon is a certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Maaster Safety Instructor for the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Safety Curriculum, and an authorized OSHA Construction Industry outreach Instructor.
